what’s he up to now?
savant lamont resides in San Jose, California. Throughout the year, savant is quite the busy man! He teaches, conducts research, writes journal articles (and other publications), mentors students, and much more. His work and love for travel take savant nationally and internationally. His passion to serve the communities he is apart of propel savant to gather knowledge, work hard, and deliver results. Uplifting those around him are what keeps him going!

Dr. A. Lamont Williams received his Ph.D. in Sport Management (College of Education) at Florida State University. Lamont was a Diversity Professor at Florida State, a former Editorial Assistant for the Sociology of Sport Journal, and a College Athlete Academic Mentor for Florida State University Athletics Department. Dr. A. Lamont Williams received his bachelors and graduate degrees from Western Illinois University. Lamont was a personal trainer, graduate studies student ambassador, and graduate assistant.

A native of St. Louis, savant spent time with his family and developing his love for sports. He was a natural athlete and discovered a competitive edge in football and basketball. From a young age, Lamont’s family could tell he was bright and they supported him through every endeavor. He owes much of his success to his grandparents and mother, for he wouldn’t be where he is today without their love and support. From his early life, into college, and through his graduate studies, Lamont has found wonderful friends (that he considers family) for whom he would do anything and has no doubt would do anything for him.
